Inês Ramos Correia is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon. Her work aims to describe the benefits of two different exercise protocols (aerobic training and strength training) vs. relaxation control group on different health biomarkers (e.g., tumor proliferation, immune response, inflammatory profile, physical fitness, and quality of life), in women recently diagnosed with breast cancer scheduled for neoadjuvant therapy (NEO-Program). This project is a partnership between the Faculty of Human Kinetics and the Champalimaud Foundation to advance exercise oncology research in Portugal.
Inês Ramos Correia is an invited assistant professor at the Faculty of Human Kinetics where she teaches the courses of Exercise Oncology (master course) and exercise prescription (bachelor’s course).
Inês Ramos Correia has more than 20 articles published in peer-reviewed sports sciences, physiology, and endocrinology journals, and 2 book chapters about exercise prescription in oncology settings. She was invited to national conferences such as Breast Cancer Metaverse and Oncosummit. Moreover, she is a corrective exercise specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
