Ronja Beller is a PhD candidate in the final phase of her research on the effects of exercise programs on the immune system in pediatric stem cell transplantation at the University Hospital Essen, Germany. She holds an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science with specializations on diagnostics, intervention, prevention, and therapy. For the past eight years, she has worked as an exercise professional, providing intensive one-on-one care for children, adolescents, and young adults (CAYA) with cancer. She was responsible in multicenter projects across Germany and the EU (“Care for CAYA”, “FORTEe”), as well as contributes in planning of upcoming new multicenter studies. At her clinic, she supported implementing structured exercise programs for children at different therapy stages, from acute treatment to aftercare and palliative care.
